Package

We only offer the whole package of 25 kg

New generation of urea-formaldehyde powder glue with high productivity and good solubility (without “tearing”). Designed for operation with high-frequency systems or hot presses. Low formaldehyde content in accordance with E1 standards (according to EN 717-2 / 94 applied CATAS Certification). In private cases – when sticking to tougher elements and reducing curing time, it is recommended that a maximum of 20% PVA adhesive (more plastic bonding) is added to RESIN 401,

Application

Suitable for bonding: natural veneer, engineered veneer, chipboard, plywood, sandwich elements using high-frequency systems or hot presses in accordance with E1 standard.

Physico-chemical characteristics and optimum operating conditions:

Condensation product – urea-formaldehyde

Color – white

Form – powder

Durability after mixing the components at 15°C – 8 hours

Durability after mixing the components at 20°C – 5 hours

Durability after mixing the components at 30°C – 3 hours

ph at 20°C: 5 – 6

Mixing ratio: 2: 1 (10 kg RESIN 401, 5 kg water)

Required quantity: 100 – 200 gr / m²

Expansion pressure: 2 – 8 kg / cm² (according to the appendix)

Temperature curing time (examples):

Temperature (° C)

60°C – 13 minutes

80°C – 140 seconds

100°C – 60 seconds

When applying the adhesive, the curing time should be increased by 1 minute for each millimeter thickness of the wood product

Application of the adhesive

Using a glue applicator with roller, spatula or brush. The amount of glue to be applied depends on the type of material (average between 100 and 200 g / m2). In order to obtain Class E1, the kettle should not exceed 100 g / m2. When working with presses the pressure depends on the material used – from 0.8 to 2 kg / m2.

Biological effect

It is possible that RESIN 401, similar to all urea-formaldehyde condensation products, will cause skin allergy in more sensitive individuals. Avoid direct contact with hands, use latex gloves. Good air ventilation is required in the workroom to reduce mucous irritation caused by formaldehyde.

Warnings

The product, like all urea-curing agents, has a shelf-life, from a technically feasible point of view, 9 months from the date of manufacture, when stored in original, tightly closed packaging, in a dry and cool place away from heat sources. Once the date on the packaging expires, we are not responsible. After the expiration of the term, formlessness occurs and lumps are difficult to dissolve.
